RCAC continually monitors bills introduced into the State Legislature. The RCAC Legislative Committee meets regularly to review those pieces of legislation with relevance to construction businesses and business owners in general, and to the roofing industry in particular. The Committee establishes the organization's position on those relevant pieces of legislation, and tracks the progress of the bills through the legislative process. In some cases, RCAC authors letters or initiates communications advocating the association's position. California RoofPAC funds are also utilized to influence legislation. The status of important legislation, including RCAC's position, can be found in the quarterly newsletter, California Roofing, and on the RCAC web site.
