There’s less strain on your body if the work is positioned between your shoulders and waist, with a waist high level being the most neutral and comfortable.

RCAC Joins Workers' Comp Action Network

Your association increases activity and involvement in industry groups

RCAC recently joined the Workers' Compensation Advocacy Network (WCAN), a coalition of more than 500 trade groups, local governments, chambers of commerce, business associations, and private businesses advocating on behalf of maintaining the workers' compensation reforms signed into law by the governor in 2004.

WCAN plays a "watchdog" role to ensure that its members and the media are informed about the implementation process so the legislative gains are protected and realized to ensure injured employees are given necessary medical care promptly and receive benefits timely, fraud is eliminated, legitimate disputes are resolved fairly and quickly, and system costs are reduced where inefficiencies and inequities exist.

RCAC will receive information from WCAN about workers' compensation issues, legislation, and coalition efforts, and will disseminate the information to RCAC members.

WCAN is one of several organizations in which RCACA participates in order to bring more information and services to our members. Other organizations include: American Subcontractors Association of California, California Chamber of Commerce, Coalition for Affordable American Energy, and the Construction Industry Legislative Council.

More information about the Workers' Compensation Action Network may be found on the web at www.fixworkerscompnow.org.
